JavaScript Job: Junior Software Developer

As a Junior Software Developer at StarGarden, your focus will be on delivering quality solutions to our clients. This role can involve a myriad of projects, including modifying existing software to correct errors, designing and developing new or modified features and functionality to meet market demand; working with clients to determine the root cause and required resolution of reported issues; executing testing, and providing ongoing maintenance and production support.

Essential Criteria:

• 4-year degree (preferably in Computer Science or IT)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• A problem solver with a keen eye for detail, eager to use analytical skills to resolve issues
• Able to engage yourself in a project and enjoy the challenges and processes involved
• Flexible, ambitious, and adaptable to change
• Motivated self-starter committed to achieving results, including a strong sense of ownership and assertively following through to resolution under limited supervision
• Eligible to work in Canada (citizen/permanent resident/current work permit with sufficient length of validity, minimum 2 years). Must be legally authorized to work in Canada, we do not offer relocation compensation or assistance with work permits/visas.

Technical Skills:

StarGarden is looking for someone with 2-4 years of the following experiences:

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java, C, C#, C++) and operating systems (Windows)
• Passion for technology
• Business Application Design/UI experience
• Experience with web applications
• Experience with Visual Studio, JavaScript, and HTML
• Strong C# and CSS skills
• Experience with enterprise-class relational databases or database management systems, specifically MS SQL server
• Experience configuring, deploying and supporting MS Azure environments
